"I'm Mihnea. I come from Romania. I like to consider myself a freelance journalist. I publish on a regular basis in different magazines, academic journals and newspapers from Romania. I had some articles published in "Chiang Mai Mail" and "The Nation". I have several blogs on different topics, but they are updated only occasionlly.

In 1999, while still a students, I published a non-fiction book entitled "The Spirit of Mediaeval Japan" (bilingual, Romanian - English).

I have a book of short stories about Thailand finished. It consists of  23 short stories of different genres, such as, drama, erotic, supernatural, crime, epistolary, adventure, comedy, and sci-fi. I wrote them in English and then translated them in Romanian. Some of these stories have been published in collections of short stories and e-magazines from Romania.

I also write book reviews for a Romanian collective blog
(www.bookblog.ro ) and organize Romanian bookcrossing meetings here in Thailand (www.schimbdecarti.ro ).

At the moment I'm finalizing a travel book about Qatar (where I spent 10 months teaching English). It will probably be published in a small newspaper from my home town.

I'm also working on a book for children which I intend to publish sometime this year on Lulu. The book will be illustrated by the very tallented Eric Barrientos.

I love reading and teaching. (I'm Teacher Supervisor at a bilingual school from Bangkok).

Although I like to write, both fiction and non-fiction, I lack discipline. There are times when I write a lot, but then stop and read a lot, and after that I concentrate on my websites etc.

I also practice aikido and love to surf the Internet."
